Business Development Specialist

One of Rochester's "Top Workplaces" in 2015 and again in 2016, Team APFS seeks a full-time Business Development Specialist for our growing company.

This individual will fashion new ways to make Team APFS grow and thrive in the face of competition by promoting our brand, and soliciting the products and services we offer by building new relationships and generating qualified sales leads for our team.

General Responsibilities:

  • 60 outbound warm- and cold-calls to prospective clients daily
  • Set 6 or more appointments per week for the sales team
  • Generate new sales leads
  • Gather contacts and databases for the company
  • Corporate lead generation/research through social media and other sources
  • Direct prospecting (research the best contact person for prospective clients)
  • Develop business ideas towards improving sales records for the company
  • Create new marketing strategies to generate new business
  • Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet/exceed sales goals
  • Effectively communicate with clients and prospective clients via email
  • Referrals – Develop and leverage alliance partner relationships
  • Network
  • Assess sales projections and sales plans of the organization
  • Enter accurate documentation regarding all client activities and communications into our company database, SmartOffice
  • Maintain the business development activity tracker-track conferences and opportunities to engage with key individuals across all active and potential locations
  • Update our social media daily

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Positive and service-minded attitude
  • Comfort with being a team player and doing whatever is needed, big or small
  • Exceptional organizational skills; ability to multi-task in dynamic environment
  • Attention to detail, excellent proof-reading skills with a perfectionist's eye
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced level computer skills; well versed in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Able to manage and get along with diverse personalities
  • Must maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Ability to constantly prioritize and re-prioritize as items come in
  • Effective follow-up, deadline focused
  • Exceptional fact-finding, communication, and decision-making skills
